Quinn Welch is an oil painter playing with scale and collaged reference material, his work focuses on capturing a moment in time that appears to be out of context or misplaced. He works primarily with oils on hard substrates such as masonite or aluminum. He studied printmaking and stop-motion animation at SMFA in Boston. His work combines the graphic elements of printmaking with the story telling of animation to create vivid scenes.
